All I see of you

is stilted …

like a starched robe

you never take off

to let me view

your iconic style of dress

engendering intrigue

of what’s beneath

and behind

your well-honed

unnaturally unwavering

Ms. Universe smile

We sit

and fellowship

in this gazebo –

a shallow communion

the banquet table seats

at which you serve feasts

of your thoughts

are occupied by

non-extant friends

… so I halt at the door

of your house

where lights are dim

and I’m never let in

Everything you are

is the reflection of light

from a dead star

that shone

a million years ago

and

your expressions

of a moon somewhat dim –

projecting splintered

rays

from the sun

of your fractured soul

It’s only W

                 h

             e

             n

           you’d be so bolD

to perceive and regard

– with entirety –

all within your mind, heart and soul

… and fall into honesty with yourself

and the rest of the world

I could see you

… clearly …

as a whole!
